Giving is awesome update

I received quite a few submissions for Giving is Awesome. Thank you so much for the taking the time to nominate someone. It was very tough to pick one nominee. I had unbiased group of people to choose the winning submission. Due to the private information of the nominee, I'm not going to post any details right now, but if they give me the go ahead I will.

Thanks again for allowing me to do something great for someone who needs it & deserves it.

Giving is awesome

You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone with an illness who maybe can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $400 worth, to be exact. I am giving away a free session plus a $250 print credit to be used on prints to decorate their home, or hand out to loved ones.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a FREE session worth $150. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

SNOW!!!!

I can't believe it actually snowed and actually stuck around for a little while. Aubrey & I got up Friday morning before Caleb did, so we got dressed & went outside to play in it. It was the first time Aubrey has ever played in the snow. She LOVED it.

Another fun fall session

I met Amy, Jeremy, and sweet baby Maddy at Spring Park to do a family session & some 6 month pictures of Miss Maddy. There were TONS of people there & I think I counted a total of 5 other photographers. It was a gret day for pictures!

Maddy did such a good job & was so cooperative. She even set up longer than she ever had before, and we captured it all on film...or digital..or whatever...

Once Maddy was done, she was DONE. Poor little thing fell sleep in about 30 seconds. Sitting up by yourself is hard work, isn't it Maddie?

Nicole...Class of 2009

I had my first Senior session last week & it was SO MUCH FUN!!! Nicole is a gorgeous senior from Brooks. She was so fun & easy to photograph. I had a blast doing this session.

It's fall ya'll!

I had my first fall session of the year this past weekend. The fallen leaves made a GORGEOUS backdrop, and just look at the beautiful kids I got to photograph! I'm SO glad it's finally looking like fall around here.

Changes are a'coming!

Keep your eyes peeled, there are some upcoming changes that are going to take place. The biggest, most exciting(for me anyway), is that I'm going to have an actual website...with galleries & everything! YAY!! I will be keeping this blog, and you can get to it from my website. I love having the blog and being able to add little bits of information regarding each session, so I can't do away with it. I'll continue to post updates & specials on the blog, so please keep visiting it.


I'm hoping my website will be up & running on Monday. If you type in or click on www.jenniferweddington.com, you will automatically be directed to my website. On the front page of the site, you can click to enter the site & view the galleries, or you can click to view my blog. I would love to hear feedback regarding the new site...test out the contact section to let me know what you think.


Another minor change is that I will be dropping JW Photography, and going with Jennifer Weddington Photography. I originally shied away from Jennifer Weddington Photography due to the fact that it is SO LONG and more than a mouthful, but I have realized that it is much more personal than JW Photography, and I just like it better. So from here on out, I'll be Jennifer Weddington Photography...but you can call me Jen.

Sweet baby Ayden

I had the pleasure of taking Ayden's newborn pictures yesterday. He was such a sweet, happy baby. It really made me miss my "babies" being that small...although Caleb was NEVER that small...My husband is not going to like me photographing newborns, I came home yesterday saying "Don't you want just ONE MORE baby????". LOL A least I can get my baby fix through pictures.

Part two of the Stork's Nest sessions

This time we did an outdoor session, with an fun, urbany feel. I LOVE this particular location. We are going to print some posters of some of these pictures to hang in the store & showcase some of the fabulous clothing The Stork's Nest offers. What an awesome opportunity

One day a couple of weeks ago I was taking my business cards to some of the local baby boutiques. The last one I went to was The Stork's Nest in Florence. I talked to Andrea, the owner for a while, and Sunday I did the first of 2 sessions for photos to hang in her store. This session was her 3 children. She has GORGEOUS kids, and they all 3 did so well. I had a lot of fun.














And to make a cool thing even cooler, The Stork's Nest will be moving into the mall in the next 2-3 weeks, that means an increase in traffic flow, which in turn means more people seeing my pictures. AWESOME opportunity for me. I'm so appreciative of Andrea for letting me do this. So when you guys are at the mall doing your Christmas shopping(only 100 shopping days left, BTW)stop in The Stork's Nest and buy something cute for your kiddo(s), and check out some of my pictures. They will be down by JC Penney.
